67 Minutes for Mandela, TSF Visit To Banekekeleni Orphanage
Led by Thabo September, TSF marked 67 Minutes for Mandela Day with a visit to Banekekeleni Orphanage. Here are some words of thanks from Thabo along with some images from a memorable day.
It was all fun and games as we were celebrating 67 Minutes for Mandela. It was not 67 Minutes for us for we spent our whole afternoon at Banakekeleni Orphanage in Kew, Johannesburg. It is so amazing how little children connected with us from the moment that we walked into the orphanage. Amongst us were Innocent Mbotshwa, Xoli Tango, Mzingaye Sibanda, Alfred Mchunu and my colleague Lebo Manyama. We had ladies amongst us as well that came through to support the event and we appreciate their presence.
We would like to extend our thanks to Phumlani Matini who connected us to David Sibanda and Zoran, Zoran donated 30 Debonairs Pizza’s to us so the children at Banekekeleni Orphanage may enjoy themselves on this special day as we know it is the first time that we acknowledge 67 minutes for Mandela without our great leader, Nelson Mandela.
On such a short notice Zoran did not hesitate to come through and donate the 30 pizza’s and we really appreciate all that he has done to make our day a huge success. We would also like to thank the staff members at Debonairs Pizza in Woodmead, Vorna Valley as well as Grosvenor Crossing. They were very friendly towards me and as I observed they were friendly to the clients that were in store as well. You guys are absolutely wonderful.
We look forward to working with you once again. May your kindness extend to everyone who comes knocking on your doors for assistance.
